Abuja - The Inspector General of Police (IGP)
Solomon Arase, has established a
scholarship fund to cater for children of
officers.
The Force Public Relations Officer, Olabisi
Kolawale, said this was part of efforts to
further guarantee the welfare of officers of the
Nigeria Police Force for a robust quality
service delivery to the members of the public.
Through the sponsorship, the force will
sponsor talented children of serving and
deceased Police officers, both at primary and
secondary school levels.
“This is to equally state that the scholarship
scheme is in line with the Policy Trust of IGP
Solomon Arase, which is aimed at improving
the standard of living of police officers and
men, including their services to Nigerians,”
said Kolawale.
She said the forms for the scholarship
scheme are available at all police children
and secondary schools for collection by
interested pupils and students of police
officers.
