Free pro-Biafra or face dire consequences, Niger Delta Avengers warn state governors

Abuja - The Niger Delta Avengers (NDA) have
reportedly given state governors an ultimatum
to free pro-Biafra activists who remain detained
in police and military cells.
According to The Sun , the militants threatened
that the governors faced dire consequence if
they refused to meet their demand.
The affected governors included Seriake Dickson
(Bayelsa), Willie Obiano (Anambra), Ifeanyi
Okowa (Delta), Dave Umahi (Ebonyi), Ifeanyi
Ugwuanyi (Enugu), Rochas Okorocha (Imo) and
Okezie Ikpeazu (Abia state).
This came as reports on Monday indicated that
the group, which had claimed responsibility for
multiple attacks on oil and gas installations
across the Niger Delta, had indicated its
willingness to engage the Nigerian government
in dialogue.
According to Premium Times, it was the first
time that the group had shown interest
discussing with the administration of President
Muhammadu Buhari.
