Budget drama continues as agency presents 2015 budget for 2016

Abuja - Officials of the Investment and Securities
Tribunal (IST) on Thursday shocked members of the
House of Representatives’ Committee on Capital
Market when they presented the same copy of the
tribunal's 2015 budget in 2016, reports The Nation.
The discovery was made during the budget defence of
the agency before the committee.
It was discovered that the budget for IST in the 2016
budget proposal is just an exact copy of its 2015
appropriation.
Chairman of the committee, Tajudeen Yusuf, who did
not hide his displeasure with the development said the
2016 proposal contains all the items dealt with and
completed in 2015.
The agency is under the Ministry of Finance.
There have been lot of controversies surrounding the
2016 budget proposal.
There are several versions of the proposal in
circulation.
