Lagos - Nigerians will be able to apply for an
international passport and renew or replace
their passports from the comforts of their home
starting from September 2016.
This is because of the planned overhaul of the
process of passport administration by the
Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS), according to
Cable.ng
The overhaul planned by the NIS, is to deploy
cutting edge technology to reduce bureaucratic
bottlenecks according to Muhammed
Babandede, comptroller-general (CG) of the
service.
Babandede said this while addressing officers of
the service at the NIS headquarters in Abuja.
